Dr. Frank Sambeth studied Business and Engineering in Karlsruhe and worked afterwards from 1997 on at Bertelsmann for the central company’s development in Guetersloh. After his promotions in 2000 and 2001 in St. Gallen, he worked again for Bertelsmann in corporate development at Random House, New York. In 2002 he took over the company’s development of the Random House Publishing Group in Munich. He was in charge of numerous strategic projects and cross-functional operative tasks. As Chief Operating Officer (COO) and board member of the Random House Publishing Group, he is responsible for business development, IT/new media, logistics/distribution, central services and general administration.
