Publishers Training 2009

Dear Colleagues,

Here at KITAB, we are very pleased about the great response and positive feedback we received after the training sessions for the CEO and mid-management level professionals in 2009. Together both levels were attended by 32 publishing professionals from ten Arab countries with diverse interests corresponding to the multi-faceted nature of the Arab publishing scene.

Together with the Academy for the German Book Trade and the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region, KITAB offered this series of lectures and workshops to professionals who are in a position to introduce new ideas and set the course for developments within their companies. Topics varied from strategic planning, marketing, book design and distribution to e-publishing and many others.

These pan-Arabic meetings provided the participants not only with the latest knowledge but with many topics for conversation, networking opportunities and new insights.

The sessions were organised by KITAB, the joint venture of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and the Frankfurt Book Fair, and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage.
